Law of Nature
Law of Nature is a local group consisting of Jennifer Kni ght (lead vocal), Chapman Welch (guitar and organ), David Strickland (drums), and Karen Estill (bass, back-up and lead vocal). On April 2, 1997, they came to talk to Starkville High School students in Mrs. Nancy Jacobs's junior English class and Mrs. Frances McCarty's Mississippi Writers class. Mrs. Jacobs's student teacher at the time, , Mrs. Georgia Hackney, invited Law of Nature. They graciously answered questions from the students and sang several favorites written by members of the group which have been recorded on their two CD's Four Points in the Valley and More. Although their CD's are still available, the group is no longer together. Chapman Welch plays regularly at the Dark Horse in Starkville while he finishes his degree at Mississippi State University.
